The evil has landed on James Bond shores, as director Sam Mendes officially announced the new movie in the franchise last week: Spectre. Agent 007 will be back on our screens on 2015, and this time he'll be fighting a global terrorist organization in Ian Fleming's fictional world. Spectre, which actually stands for Special Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion, is a famed antagonist in the stories, and has appeared in several films and novels, as well as video games.
The group is led by Ernst Stavro Blofeld, said to be one of the supervillains in the Bond universe. Possibly cast as villains are Christoph Waltz (Inglourious Basterds, Django Unchained), Andrew Scott (Sherlock), and Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy). Fans are excited but there's no word yet if Waltz would secretly be playing Blofeld. Meanwhile, Léa Seydoux and Monica Bellucci are cast as the 'Bond girls.'
On the side of the British Secret Service, Ralph Fiennes returns as M, Naomie Harris as Miss Moneypenny, Rory Kinnear as Tanner, and Ben Whishaw as Q. Daniel Craig will be playing the dashing Mr. James Bond for the fourth time.
